What a difference! Our city decided to start clearing a missing connection in our winter cycle network and now I have no excuse not to ride all year.

Inspired by all the #TreeByBike posts I stubbornly insisted on doing our own. -19C wind chill and good snow depth made it difficult but Gatineau's expansion of snow clearing made it possible.

How did this vehicle manage to get past the magical paint?

Some personal proof that ebikes and protected bike infrastructure are life changing. Spouse just hit 1k on her new bike in the 2 months since she got it. Went from almost never riding to daily commute of over 15km each way.

Why is Canada's public broadcaster live streaming this? There was one small article yesterday about the national protests for climate action and against the genocide in Gaza. Yet the memorial to a hate monger gets front page coverage?

Back on my BS (BikeSky). So many #ottbike bike lane closures, trucks parked in the bike lanes and very good chonks suntanning in dangerous locations.

I moved them off safely, but likely will be back.
Multiuse pathway with a giant snapping turtle lounging on one side. Bushes line either side of the pathway. Pathway is paved with a yellow centre line. Electronic sign warning of bridge closures that is entirely blocking the bike lane.

My kids and I felt super unsafe crossing the Champlain. What happened to the concrete barriers? We crossed in comfort last year, but those flexisticks do not protect us. Are bikelanes for everyone or not? Are you looking after everyone or just those in cars?

The area of work was between Peawanuck, Ontario in the east and the Manitoba in the west.

Had the privilege of a work trip to the Hudson Bay Coastal Lowlands this spring. Just amazing landscape up there. I'll post a few pictures here.
