A rare chance to get up close to an iconic railway structure today, and to hear about the work which goes into keeping the Forth Bridge in good condition by Network Rail Scotland and Balfour Beatty engineers. We had time to see an @LNER.co.uk Azuma pass over on its way from Aberdeen to King’s Cross!

No trip to Aberdeen is complete without a visit to Clayhills depot where the @lner.co.uk team were busy last night, refuelling and servicing ScotRail InterCity7 sets and cleaning our Azuma set ready for this morning’s 0952 departure to King’s Cross

The Tall Ships Races are in Aberdeen - we’re running an extra train today - at 18.15 from Aberdeen to Edinburgh - to help get everyone home!

On Sunday the extra services will be 08.10 from Edinburgh Waverley to Aberdeen and 18.15 from Aberdeen to Newcastle

If you are visiting the @railwaymuseum.bsky.social in York over the next couple of days, look out for our newly-named @LNER.co.uk locomotive 91150 “National Railway Museum 50 years”!

It will be going back to the depot later this week then will be in service on our route in a few weeks time.
