Great evening with U3A whisky appreciation group at Scotch Malt Whisky Society Queen Street. Loved meeting some lovely people and tasting 4 great whiskies.

Had a great time last night with Fischy music at the first screening of the video for We're the Land of Scots, which they hope will be a national anthem for Scotland's children. Launching today with 30,000 children watching online.

A wee Friday visit to Dundee to catch up with a cousin for a couple of beers. Also popped in to Discovery Point, the old girl is getting a lot of work done but this was an interesting wee exhibition.

Beautiful autumn morning for another @wolct.bsky.social task. A 'productive' litter picking session along the Bell's meadow/Coltbridge stretch as well as some of the cycle path. Rewarded with a brilliant sighting of a Kingfisher.

Enjoyable session working with @caltonhill.bsky.social today spreading topsoil and then laying turf to address the eroded areas of the hill. Hopefully rain tonight will help the turf bed in.

A fun morning wading in the Bavelaw Burn with fellow @wolct.bsky.social volunteers. Managed to get a hole in my waders so ended up with a wet left foot but we did get out a good deal of litter including a flag pole found by yours truly.

Cracking morning for a stroll through Burdiehouse Burn Valley Park from Straiton Road to Gilmerton Road. Lovely park although I did notice a lot of litter at times. Highlight was a good view of a Kingfisher.

Another Monday morning wade with @wolct.bsky.social working upstream from Bell's bridge. No Japanese Knotweed spotted but we did get some litter out. Strong flow of water following last night's rain & we saw two roe deer run across the river.
