Great China Herbs Centre: Chinese doctor sees patients Sun. and Wed. 10:30am to 1:00pm without appointments. Prescribed four large bags of raw herbs to brew, 4x volume that I've been given by other herbalists. Directions boil with water covering herbs, multiple days to drink decoction. (Toronto)

J. P. Plank House (circa 1873):  Shoeshine stand more decorative furniture than functional service.  Inside house built by Franklin E. Davis, as an agent for the Uxbridge Piano and Organ Company circa 1873, on a lot bought from John Plank. Building now adjoins funeral home.  (Uxbridge, Ontario)

West Croydon bus station:  With London Underground starting labour strike, lucky Superloop SL7 bus.  From Croydon, almost 2 hours through suburbs to Heathrow Airport, fare is only £1.75.  On the top level of the double-decker bus, we had a scenic tour of affluent and not-so-wealthy neighbourhoods

Lancing Beach: Day trip south to seaside town on the English Channel, part of the Atlantic Ocean. Shingle beach of waterworn gravel is a playground for dog chasing (not necessarily fetching) balls. Winds well-suited for kitesurfing school, and the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm 20km off the coast.

Battersea Power Station: CelebrASIA festival features Sarawak Dancers from Borneo. Two coal-powered stations built 1929-1935 and 1937-1941, decommissioned 1975 and 1978, redeveloped by 2023 by Malaysian investors. Impressive architectural reconstruction, retail stores.

Greenwich Meridian Line: Standing on Prime Meridian 1884, sea charts referred to Longitude 0. Greenwich Meridian is 102.5 meters west of the IERS Reference 1984, used by GPS. It's 19 feet east of Airy Meridian 1850 International Standard 1884, further 19 feet east of the Halley Meridian line 1721.
