On the bright side, the pendulum often swings back to analog culture (at least for some people). The human brain tends to get bored with standardized culture.

...with it's weaknesses (which is part of what defines ones style) is part of the statement or storytelling that is being communicated. When we give up our style for smoothed out AI drawing (or AI writing), we lose a part of what makes our written / drawn voice unique.

I fear people will lose the ability to write and to draw. You mentioned Allison Bechdel above - and opined that her drawing ability is not what's important about her work. But in comics and graphic novels, the images are a part of the writing, as they convey information. And the artists style...

LLMs are stealing our humanity, making our brains lazy, ripping off our creative people. Use them to cure cancer or something useful. But so far, they mostly seem like BS. I am not a fan of them of data centers.

Very true!
But also, Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez's murder was not filmed (so far as I know) which would have garnered more outrage. Good's murder is maybe the most filmed murder I've ever seen, making it hard for anyone to dispute that was a flat out execution.

Data centers are wasting vital drinking water. AI steals our humanity and will literally kill us as well. It can't go away fast enough as far as I'm concerned.
