I'm putting together and editing a cyberpunk short story collection with a great group of people, and it's awesome! Worldbuilding and developing the framework of the world have been some of the most fun I've had in a bit! Seeing cyberpunk stories from diverse backgrounds is the cherry on top!

Anyone else really enjoy playing Helldivers 2? Specifically, picking a city stage on an automaton world, putting on some Terminator music or darksynth, and getting lost pretending you're in the future war section of the Terminator movies? Or isn't just me?

I was super online yesterday, and I didn't realize it was because I was dreading a thing today. Nerves were nerving, if you can dig it. On the other side of it now, but man. Oddly enough, i was really productive on emails and stuff yesterday, lol!

Steak sammich on heb sourdough! Topped with jalapeno cheese, cheddar, and mozzarella i had in the fridge. It's like a fancy ass grilled cheese that tastes way better than it cost to make!

I've done 2 batman theme song things, unofficially of course. One a Batman v Terminator, and one in the style of the Joker movies score. I think I'm gonna do another because gawtam does Absolute Batman kick ass. Needs a theme song.

In the process of finding writers for a cyberpunk short story collection that takes place in the Texas plains. Figuring out the framework of the world stories will take place in has been fun! If anyone is interested, especially bipoc writers from Texas, hit me up!

I wanna talk about how the lost woods and by extension, the Forest Temple, were about the slow death of childhood and the mourning of innocence after. The forest temples music really captures that feeling. Its childlike and filled with wonder, but distorted and wrong. A memory of something gone.

The short film I scored, Happy Do Avenue, won Audience Choice At Flatland Film Fest in my hometown! The festival itself was the first film fest I've attended, and it was great, if a little overestimating.

Finished watching the last episode of Peacemaker, the alternate world is gonna be Wolfenstein the New Clolossus style, White nationalist America, right? Like, that has to be it. Maybe it'll even have the Crime Syndicate version of the JL. That's my prediction!

I don't know if I'm just in a weird headspace, but Spiritfarer has made me tear up more than another game I've ever played. Really beautiful story!

I made business cards for the first time in a few years. I mainly worked by word of mouth, but stuff has dried up a bit, and I've needed to start "advertising" myself a bit more. It doesn’t feel natural now, if it ever had. I had rizz once, i think. Or maybe I was just always awkward at socializing?

I was just now reminded that not enough people talk about how the last 007 movie, No Time To Die, was pretty much a loose adaptation of Metal Gear Solid. And I think we all are worse for it.

One of the things I learned running a dnd session was just how important understanding pacing is. There's an art to it that I'm really interested to learn more about. When to see a fight to the end, when to close it out when you feel players checking out, and how to make it engaging either way.

4.5 hours later,I can now officially say I've DMed a ttrpg game! Really fun, and I hope to do it again!
