Maybe Apple are playing the long game: put people off usage of any Generative AI, sink the value of MS, OpenAI, Google, Facebook et al who have invested more into LLMs. Big Brain time!

The recipient gives the user a look of 'WTF is this?'. Every time it comes on, I wonder how on earth is this ad supposed to encourage people to use this thing?

Saw MI:III again last weekend and he was terrifying without what seemed like much to work with in the way of backstory/character development. Just dropped in fully formed.

There's a gag about this in Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning: Part I (or whatever the heck they've retconned the title to be now). Worth the price of admission!

The rise of the alt-right over the last few years has been a source of confusion for me: did none of them watch Indiana Jones as a child? The Nazis were definitely the bad guys!

Perhaps this is a chicken and egg problem. I do like Brave and what its trying to do but maybe I'll just keep it installed for browsing sites from verified creators like Wikipedia. Or maybe I haven't swallowed the crypto kool aid just yet.

Really what I care about is stripping out tracking. So, I've moved back to Firefox as my default. Also, while I like that I can gain BAT by viewing ads in the news feed in Brave, that so much of that news comes from sources that are not verified creators doesn't feel quite right to me. Still...
