That he would rather plunge the nation into chaos than work with progressives tells you everything you need to know about the "center left" or "moderate" in western democracy.

He should be tapped to lead the DNC.

How insane is it that we live in a time when this is not the lead news story every day. Astronauts stuck in space is story of the year in 1990.
Would have had a daily count, politicians failing over themselves to demand return. 2024? WWE is going to run the Dept of Ed so, we're kind if busy.

"Can't" seems like a subjective judgement. I think if the people of California decide it's in their best interest to stop the detention center, I bet they CAN find some way to do it. Maybe it's not through the courts. Maybe California CAN declare its independence from U.S. immigration enforcement.

Money is the root of all evil. We've forgotten that somehow.

Sounds like you were lucky to find a degree and job that weren't too demanding.
Kudos. That shows one person did it.

No but you have time to work full time when you aren't going to school full time, which is why every school factors living expenses into their cost of attendance estimates.

NYU estimates $75,000-$93,000 per year with living expenses. Ohio State (just for one random example) estimates $131,000 over 4 years for in-state and $238,000 for out of state.

So the answer is: lots of places it costs $250,000 to get a bachelors degree. It's unbelievable I know.

You'd get a lot more English majors if it didn't cost a quarter of a million dollars to get that English degree. I think people want to study humanities but it's too expensive. If a humanities degree was half the cost of a finance degree, you'd get a lot more interest.

No one has an obligation to stay in relationships with abusive people. On the other hand, if we cut off everyone that we are not obligated to, we may end up with no relationships. There's a big difference between enduring toxicity and forgiving slights to maintain an otherwise healthy relationship.

Next time instead of doing all the work to get that moon lamp on top of the rock, just wait for the actual moon to be in the right position.

The sane states should start making mutual pacts re: basic rights, and if/when the feds come for them - nope.
