Along this historic document the archive also shows a rich history of the city, from books keeping tracks of fights from the 18th century, maps showing how the city grew over time, historic paper with the emperors crest printed on it and the archives itself where documents are kept for safekeeping

I had today the honor of seeing Aachen's oldest document kept in the cities archive, a letter from Emperor Heinrich II. who gifted some land to a monastery in 1018

I had the privilege of working for the first time on a circuit for a friend who had his very first race in the BelCar Sprint Cup at Zolder. I had an absolute blast and made so many memories and also photos of the EuroNascar-races that where racing after us that I will treasure forever.

Sometimes in Germany you find people putting old stuff on the street that you can pick up for free. Most of the time it's old furniture, movies or books. And sometimes it's a 1988 Sega Mega Drive with a Sega 32X addon & 14 Atari 2600 games 😂

Not so fun fact: The country Tuvalu has a highest elevation of 2m and will be 50% flooded by 2050 due to global warming. It also holds the domain .tv, making it incredibly interesting for websites such as Twitch. Now the question is, if the country ceases to exist, what will happen do that domain?

The more photos I shoot the more I enjoy watching birds and learning more about them. This western yellow wagtail, who had a very successful hunt, was found near the Pader. They are very enjoyable to watch as, like their name implies, they always wag their tail while standing around.

I strolled today through the springs of the Pader in Paderborn trying to photograph my favourite bird, a kingfisher. While I didn't find one I shot loads of pictures of other birds in the meantime.

After a very successfull company-meeting I took my camera with my brand-new Sony 70-350mm lens through the city-park of Bochum. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend to check it out, it is a beautiful park.

I visited the Toyota Collection in Cologne today and couldn't help myself shooting tons of photos with a lens that really wasn't made for indoor-photography. Turns out there is also a Ferrari dealership just down the street so I had to of course go there as well

I visited Liège today and photographed some animals today in the Parc de la Boverie using my Sony A6000. This is only my third day with the camera and yet I have already shot almost 500 pictures 😅 Here are my favourite shots from today

The Ruddy shelduck is not common here in western Europe. They are migratory birds who normally live between India in the winder and southeastern Europe to breed. Guess this one flew a bit too far

I took my new Sony A6000 through the parks of Aachen today to test it out together with my Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm f/2.8-4.0. While the lens is ~40 years old it can still take some fantastic photos.

I've switched my mobile background -I know, big news- with a photo I took in Auronzo, Italy during my last holiday and I thought I why not share it with everyone else. Feel free to use it
