Isn't that beautiful. It's fascinating to speculate on the possible meaning of toys, or otherwise, from the ancient world. They speak to us so clearly, like this girl on a swing from Minoan culture in Crete.

That's so true. Here is one of my favorite examples, Giovanni Pisano's Plato from the cathedral in Siena. A very angry father figure who just knows you haven't been good.
