You have to admit Rwanda plays a good game. They get paid hundreds of millions by the UK's former Conservative government, do almost nothing for the money, and then when that money train runs out, they get the Trump Administration to start paying them.

We'll end here, I'm British, as is the person who was in prison. UK law decided, like every other Western Democracy, other than the US has decided the death penalty doesn't work. So either stay in the USA, or Foxtrot Oscar there. Supporting the death penalty is supporting state sponsored murder.

I'm replying to the comment that complained about people saying this shows why the death penalty is wrong, and how you think it does work.
It doesn't, though the US has the death penalty, with a far more corrupt legal system, but far higher murders per capita. So more innocent deaths, no deterrent.

So it is better to have executed an innocent man because prisoners sometimes commit crimes on other prisoners... Even though you would want to execute those poor prisoners who got assaulted?

Except the man in question, ignoring the fact he was innocent, had been in prison for nearly 38 years, and until the new evidence, with no likelihood of release. What crimes do you think he managed in that 38 years?

Pretty much. It was a high profile case at the time, and the police were under pressure to find the person who did it. The UK police in the 80s also didn't exactly have a Sterling reputation when it came to due process. They found someone who looked right and stopped looking.

I don't need to. I said I didn't need to disprove the Bible with science, I said I could use Genesis. It is meant to be the literal word of an omniscient being, yet within the first book, it contradicts itself. That's your proof, not mine.
