Still a long way from London where we walk everywhere. Neighbourhoods which have security patrols are very, very rich. I've always felt about the USA that even in small towns 'Don't Walk' on the crossings is a general injunction. See Rebecca Solnit's Wanderlust. Presumably ICE won't be visiting.
