Final version of the self-portrait from a mirror in the garden. This went late into the fall. The jacket helped with the cold mornings but, also I think it works better in the composition. I like that this took several unexpected turns as it developed. #pleinair #painting #art #portrait #landscape

American Foulbrood 1 & 2. Once a colony is infected, one of the only ways to eradicate the disease is to burn the whole darn place down. Painted these in 2012 or so. Feels quite relevant today, however. #painting #oilpainting #figurativepainting #art #contemporaryart @bsky.art
