Who could say when she will be able to enjoy such a rewarding sight in peace again? Moments like these go by fast, and the ways of the world are mysterious. Not one being can know beforehand their own destiny. Blind and deaf and unmoved, at times, we trudge towards an uncertain fate. We can't still time; we can only submerge ourselves in moments like these in harmony, if not with the whole world, at least with our own souls. As our tabby cat says, "Meow meow!"

It's interesting how the English language lends itself well to #haiku & #senryū writing. So many useful one-syllable words! You can write whole paragraphs with them. Conversely, writing haikus in Spanish is more difficult, as most words are multisyllabic. You can "fit" more meaning with English.
