I see your point but I don't see any reason why another group would do something. The companies running these platforms only want more users so they don't care, and the kids aren't going to suddenly not want to use them if they aren't blocked from them.

The Microsoft - Activision Blizzard deal was bigger than this and wasn't able to be stopped by a Biden FTC, which gave Microsoft a huge advantage over PlayStation. I wouldn't expect a Trump FTC to care.

Not sure if there's something I'm completely ignorant to but I wasn't aware that the job cuts and sales expectations were pushed onto Bungie by Sony, as you seem to be implying. Wouldn't surprise me necessarily, but idk if Bungie is entirely blameless.

It really comes down to the difference in world design. Because of tile sets, one planet can have ten missions on it that all pull from one file, whereas ten Destiny missions all are different files. That's a lot of tech debt and file size that Bungie are drowning in but DE avoided.

I mean that's the nature of tile sets. You can make seemingly vast areas without the file size constraint, just they won't be distinct. The open worlds are one thing but there's really not that many of them, not compared to Destiny which from a file standpoint has only open worlds.

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous that infusing costs are so high and then the season pass gives you like 200 for a rank up. Like these things need to be raining everywhere if the costs are going to stay the same.

Warframe's levels are built using tile sets which are combined when the mission starts so you can get random setups each time. This saves on file size because you can reuse the same tile set and get different layouts. Meanwhile each new area Destiny has is distinct, which balloons the file size.

Feel free to think what you want. I think anybody is better than Maduro for Venezuela. It doesn't go from full blown dictatorship to progressive utopia in one person.

I generally think someone who champions democracy over dictatorship in their country isn't a Hitler-esq figure but I guess let's let her campaign wither because she's trying to get all the help she can against Maduro.

She admires Trump because she needs help to overthrow Maduro, who is a full blown 100% dictator. She is actually pretty liberal if you read her political views.

I disagree that the game had it mostly figured out. Is this worse? Maybe, but it was clear the foundation was rotten, and they had to tear it all up and build something new before it got better. And no, making everything craftable was not the solution.
