With Her Love is a short Christmas story I wrote many years ago, originally titled The Christmas Ornament. It’s about a simple gift, a mother’s patience, and the quiet ways love lasts. 🎄

I reshare this poem every Christmas.
A story about despair, kindness, and redemption — and the power of one moment to change a life.

Sonny Boy usually lives for Monday nights — garbage duty is his Super Bowl. 😂 The moment he sees me gathering bags, he’s at the door like, “Let’s roll, Dad!”

But tonight? It’s freezing out there… and ol’ Sonny said, “Yeah… I’m good right here in this warm bed.” ❄️🐾

Honestly, can’t blame him. 😂❤️

St. Nicholas 🎄✨
A heartwarming Christmas story about the real Saint Nicholas — a humble man whose quiet acts of kindness inspired the Santa Claus we know today, a beautiful reminder of generosity and compassion during the holiday season.

Holiday Gems ✨
Here’s one of the most touching Christmas stories I’ve ever shared — the true story behind Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. A reminder of love, loss, hope, and the heart of the season.

Lonesome Christmas
Some Christmases feel quiet… painfully quiet.
I wrote this poem years ago during a time when the holidays didn’t feel merry or bright.

If you’ve ever had a Christmas like that, this one might speak to you.

I’ve shared this poem before, but felt led to share it again today. Maybe someone needs this reminder that peace can still be found in the “I don’t knows.”

A church reached out today asking if they could include my poem “The Light of Christmas” in their December newsletter. Moments like this remind me why I write.

A customer shared these photos from his U.P. deer camp. His wife surprised him with a Gone Hunting frame to honor his brother he lost in 2021. Humbled, my words could help. If you want a signed 16x20 Gone Hunting or Gone Fishing frame, message me. 🦌🤍 rittersrhymeandreason.org

I’ve made peace with my past. I’m proud of my present. And I’m hopeful for my future.
Not everyone will understand your transformation, and that’s okay. You don’t need everyone’s approval to keep growing.

Sonny boy always has my back. We only had time for 1.5 miles today, but it was beautiful.
