It has become almost impossible to buy a uniformly healthy head of garlic at a regular grocery store. It’s now either Asian market or fishing out sprouts from half of the thing. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever opened a bottle of tonic water that did not quasi-explode.

Something that delights me is that my 23 year old and SO many of her friends/peers hold Lynch in the highest possible regard. His work, of course. But also his philosophies and the kindness he carried himself with.

Re hand clubs: my cousin played FCS fb in the late 80s. He played w/ a broken thumb and wore a fiberglass cast with wrapping/padding. He inadvertently struck an official with the club after a discussion over a bad call. Knocked that guy out for a good 3-4 mins. PS all of it was over a fumblerooskie.
