Nine years ago, at a political event in Brooklyn, I met a rising star, freshman Congressman Hakeem S. Jeffries.

As a Hasidic Jew, I was struck by how warmly he engaged with me, showing a deep respect for my faith and community, something not all elected officials take the time to do. 🧵

I'm Ryan Crosswell. I’ve spent my life in service to this country. When Trump tried to get the prosecutors in my section to use the DOJ, I stepped down.

Now, I'm stepping up. I’m running for Congress because it’s time to stand up against a handful of billionaires from taking our money and our data.

I'm running in one of the only toss-up seats that Biden won and is still held by the GOP.

We’re building an ambitious campaign. If everyone reading this chipped in just $9, we’d reach our goal tonight.

Can you please consider chipping in to help me fight back, defeat Mackenzie, and flip the House?

Trump’s attacks on the Constitution, our sacred democracy, science, education, climate change, women’s reproductive rights, the Fed Reserve, the judiciary branch, and whatever else he’s done since you started reading this post don't reflect who we are as a people and what we want to be as a country.

Republicans are shutting down the government rather than fixing the healthcare crisis they created.

Democrats must use the budget negotiations to fight back.

I'm running for Congress after working on big budget and economic problems for years. I want to do the same in Washington.

Democrats must take back the House, but we don’t just need change for change’s sake, and we don’t need more of what got us here.

Can you pitch in $9, $15, $25, $50, or whatever fits in your budget before midnight when we hit our first FEC deadline?

No donation is too small to make a difference.

BREAKING: The WH just sent paperwork to the Senate, withdrawing the nomination of E.J. Antoni as head of the BLS.

Trump had nominated Antoni, a Project 2025 contributor, to replace Commissioner Erika McEntarfer, whom he fired after accusing her without evidence of rigging jobs data. (CNN)

Jimmy Kimmel is in Brooklyn, New York, tonight, and Mayor Eric Adams is on the menu.

Lolzzz.

Donald Trump is not sending us the military to safeguard ICE or anybody else.

This was never about immigration or fighting crime; it's about intimidating and putting fear into lawful residents of our beautiful city, Chicago, and all around America.

BREAKING: New York City Mayor Eric Adams just announced in a video that he is dropping out of the mayoral race, ending his floundering campaign for a second term.

Richard Nixon at least tried to cover it up; Donald Trump does it in broad daylight.

Trump did it in front of our eyes.

Within one week:

● Fires an experienced prosecutor for not indicting Comey.

● Publicly urges Bondi to go after Comey.

● Installs his personal insurance lawyer with zero prosecutorial experience.

● Comey indicted.

●Trump celebrates.

When Trump tried to force the DOJ to drop the Adams case, I resigned. Now, I’m standing up for our rights and our values by running for Congress.

As we are six days away from our end-of-quarter campaign deadline. Can you chip in just $9 to help us reach our goal?

This is not about James Comey; this is about the fact that Donald Trump is using the Department of Justice as his personal law firm and is not even hiding it anymore.

This is very troubling.

The 94 U.S. attorneys’ offices in the U.S. can't continue to build cases against officials who need to be investigated, let alone prosecute new cases on their own.

But Trump doesn't care; the DOJ is now his personal law firm.

I resigned from Trump's DOJ in Feb when I was pressured to drop NYC Mayor Adams' case.

NOTUS reports that since Trump took office, my section, Public Integrity, went from 36 people investigating public corruption to TWO.

Who benefits? Corrupt politicians.

So, about that team of public integrity prosecutors who investigated Tom Homan, the guy who accepted a $50k bribe in a sting operation last year...

The Trump DOJ has cut it down to 2 lawyers: a boss who oversees a single attorney.

Donald Trump is using the memorial of Charlie Kirk to promote his illegal political stunts that he wants to do in our beautiful city, Chicago.

Thoughtless, careless, and selfish.
davidschwartz.bsky.social
Nothing to see here; just after Tucker Carlson compared Charlie Kirk's murder to Jesus', he invoked the oldest blood libel that has been used for nearly 2,000 years to persecute the Jewish people.

Tucker Carlson is one of the most hateful, bigoted people on earth.
davidschwartz.bsky.social
If you want Charlie Kirk to be remembered for his willingness to engage with people who disagreed with him, why are you using his legacy to silence media voices you disagree with?

BREAKING: Ryan Mackenzie just voted to continue the attack on everyday Americans' healthcare; he prefers a government shutdown over working across the aisle for the good of the people in PA07.

When I get to Congress, I'll work for my constituents every day, not for Donald Trump.
