Our ClimaMeter study on #Texasfloods devastating #CampMystic at night, when people were most vulnerable, shows the deadly cost of underestimating the climate shift. Above all, we must reduce greenhouse gas emissions to limit future risks and rethink early warning systems & land-use planning.

The deadly floods in DR Congo are the result of both global and local pressures—rising CO₂ emissions from fossil fuel combustion and deforestation. At this stage, coordinated global efforts to cut emissions and local efforts are essential to prevent such disasters from happening again.
