I think this is an important concept and a great way to frame new literacies. While there is a relevant concern about student's interpersonal skills with the rise of tech, it could be countered that they are communicating, just differently. #edu800fall25

Great question, are we adapting fast enough? I think for many this is a resounding "no". The world of AI and how both students and educators can use it responsibly is only just being explored and it seems collectively we are forced to be reactive rather than proactive. #edu800fall25

Yes, Winnie, I agree with you on this. Are youth really reading less, or just reading differently? We can't say one type of reading has value while another has no value at all. How can we leverage the way youth are inclined to read and engage them with that? #edu800fall25

Such an important and to-be-determined question. Though I have to wonder, if youth are losing writing and communication abilities due to technology, what might they be gaining in their place? Perhaps advanced tech skills, rapid learning from watching, and more to be explored. #edu800fall25

Yes! Prophetic is a perfect way to capture this and how I felt when reading #Leu. The connections the authors made in 2012 have come to full realization in 2025, and will continue to evolve. Infinite literacies indeed.

I would like that, and funny enough, my last paper was on motivation in assessments - which is very reliant on feedback as well. 😊
