An awkward one, but Resident Evil 2 (or 3? Can’t remember) when you open the door and the zombies burst through. Something that should be a “safe” loading screen turns into a pretty effective jump scare.

…I played Eternal Darkness for the past two Halloweens. God damn is that game all killer, no FUCKIN FILLAH! It’s niche as hell and all but forgotten, but I would eat my hand for a remake or a sequel (never going to happen). I don’t think it would make the top five, but at this point, who’s to say?

If I were to consider a few games to add to the best of the best. Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and honestly…

Games I used to include on my top five were Donkey Kong Crunchy, Hotline Miami, Team Fortress 2, Metroid Prime. There might be others. But I’ve played those recently, and for one reason or another, they’ve petered off a bit. Still great games, but a little soggy

When I refer to #ResidentEvil4, I usually mean the original, but the remake is steaming hot perfection. I’ve never had my expectations met with fewer notes
