Bands, baseball, books and bcats, oh my!
Why does it look like he's been punched in the mouth in this picture?

Then stand up to the lawlessness and cruelty of this administration. Everyone's waiting.

No, but it's the only realistic standard we had at the time. I would rather that we do not become like the Americans who imposed purity tests on Kamala Harris. Look what that got them.

They already are your values. They are currently your values. I don't know how you can pretend they're not. No one is willing to stand up to the bully to stop it. Democrats certainly aren't.

Agree. It's been shocking the way we have been ignored, and was very eye-opening about the priorities of your government.

The point here is to believe people when they tell you who they are. Gavin Newsom hangs out with Republicans because he likes hanging out with Republicans. This isn't 4-D chess. He wants to hang out with Ben Shapiro and Steve Bannon. When he says he agrees with them on things, it's because he does.

I feel the same. I don't necessarily like it, but I understand it. And only time will tell if it is the right approach.

He's taken some questionable stances in the past year or two. Sad.

And no, when something matters this much, it's not "impossible." You find an alternative or you do without. People sacrificed during world wars. Are people so soft now that they can't do without a specific brand of chocolate?

Then maybe UK people need to do research like Canadians have been? We've been doing this for a year now, researching and sharing information. It would be nice if the commonwealth would finally offer some support, despite your government and royals being largely absent in supporting us.

And I'm not just talking about politicians. A large percentage of Canadians are actively avoiding travel to the US and shopping locally, and are very vocally anti-Trump.

Poilievre, who was the only other realistic option.

I'm not thrilled with some of the moves he has made either, but I think it will take time before we can really evaluate what he is doing. Seems like his main focus is shoring up Canada's economic and prospects and preparing in the case that military intervention is needed. He is miles better than...

This is what people, orgs, institutions, nations don't seem to get. He can't fight resistance from everyone all at once. Too many have rolled over. Canada seems to be resisting better than any of them. Would like to see US media and universities doing a better job.

Hate boots, not that fond of shoes either, wore flip flops to go to my car and drive to the store Wednesday evening just when it was starting to snow. Was also grateful for heat vents that blow toward your feet in the car.

Seems like all US media are in self preservation mode to the extent that they are unable to do their jobs. The thing is though, if they all stand up for the truth, they can't all be destroyed. Strength in numbers.

That's the problem, they get their news from TikTok

Way to cherry pick facts and be completely inaccurate. You're being disingenuous, so I'm done here.
