I'm not a photographer. But I take photos every now and then. My front yard last winter- the same look as today. Snow storm advisory. Wind: 45 mph. Walkway in the evening last summer. What a contrast.

Thanks. Good afternoon to you and all. This birch tree in my front yard is now bare. All leaves are gone, They'll be back in spring. This tree had problems at planting.
Arborist said, discard it. It won't grow. But I saved it. Look how big it has become. Lesson: Don't give up.

The dog seems to like snow. One of my dogs liked to eat snow. Lucky, we always had lots in winter. I made sure I used nonhazardous ice melt & the snow was clean.
Put snow boots & ointment on her feet.

Dog liked to frolic in soft snow, rolling over & over. White & fluffy, she blended with the snow.

A beautiful scene. Thanks for sharing.
It's snowing here right now. I have four layers of clothes, a hat and a jacket even inside the house.

Thermostat set at 68 deg F, to conserve energy which has become expensive. This was my back door last year. Same this year. Snow belt near the lake.

I cry for days when the dogs die or have to be put away.
One other rescue dog, Emily, had cancer that metastasized to her lungs. She was so sweet and quiet. No whining or whimpering. Just appreciation for what she had.
I watched her go. That look in her eyes followed by peace. This is Emily.

Dogs are smart. Sharing my photo of Loki, a rescue dog.
He had mature cataract & couldn't see well. Look at his eyes.
He would bump into glass doors & wall. But he could smell his food & go for it. Then later he became deaf. So he could not hear commands. But he never complained. His name: Loki.

The social butterfly here. Our American Eskimo dog is so friendly. She was very young when we took the photo. No good manners yet.
Puppies learn over time. Now she has better manners. Of course, dogs have to be trained. Just like humans.

That pose reminds me of my dog's poses. So relaxed. And my dog asked. "Rub my belly." Then she would close her eyes, wanting some more rubs.'
This was her other pose waiting for something. I love dogs. This one is an Esky. She loved unconditionally.
Her language: Food and rub.❤️

Thanks for sharing. My real lilies are gone for the winter. I love my lilies blooming in the pots on my yard.
They come back in spring. They're so loyal. They come and stay long.

🍁Now, fall is here and winter is around the corner. My trees are bare. It has snowed already--Will be like this again
