on the topic of shows one may or may not try out.. did you try the hockey Rivalry one? I don't know anyone who has. but I am curious.

yeah. exactly! I don't know of course but it feels closer to a real ER life. especially since each episode is an hour of a shift. you see more of the meticulous work that goes into it, and the waiting. I worked in a clinic (which isn't the same) but medicine seemed slow and calm by nature.

I watched it (half on a plane, half at home). they get right into the cuts but it wasn't aggressive (not every injury, not every episode, maybe a handful over the season) but they don't come with much warning to look away if squeamish. I like how calm the show is. and better than ER. which I loved.
