It wasn't a big space. Just a corner with a bean bag chair and a area rug.
However, I have sent plenty of students on "fake" errands to another teacher with a note that said, "they just need some time/space" to give them space and time to breathe!

Thank you! Because sometimes it could be that they're over stimulated or just overly excited, not necessarily mad or angry. "Zen Zone" works for all feelings!

Usually we talk about how our brain is a muscle that we have to train to become stronger or how challenges are like climbing a mountain (we usually talk about this one after a trip to climb Stone Mountain outside of Atlanta).

Thank you! I had that sign in my room right next to my desk so any student who came into my room would know that they could always come back if they needed anything.
