Back in the later 90s I listened to a lot of Air|Pete Namlook, some people categorized it as 'nosie', but at the time I think that it was termed as 'ambient', which one could say Eno may have started in the 70s on No Pussyfooting with Fripp? Or Here Come The Warm Jets? Is it a sub-genre of 'noise'?

Kind of a bit off topic, but have you seen the 6-episode "Hit & Miss" with Chloë Sevigny? Kind of an anomaly for 2012, definitely not what you think it is, but has that British feel to the pacing and characters.
