Finished reading Hemingway’s Old Man & the Sea. Clearly a metaphor for him and the struggles with the writing industry in his later years. My favorite writer that knew how to conserve words.

Rereading Frank Herbert’s #Dune (1965) & parsing it. The Atreides start at planet of Caladan. Originally it was “Catalan” in early “Spice Planet” story but he put too much of Spanish in it such as the bull killing grandfather so he altered the name a bit. Catalonia was known for its bull-fighting.
