AND!!! The apples are all local so there is no biodiversity/invasive species risks with the seeds being pooped out gods know where. This little act of connecting with the deer brings me joy I am trying to be responsible while I do it though to the best of my ability

I know people have strong opinions on feeding wildlife but we live very remote, there is not danger of them harassing other people because they got used to us, we don't provide their full diet just a handful of apples couple times a week, and we keep a healthy distance. It's not hurting anyone.

This is how the backyard deer Apollo lets us know him and his two ladies (Elanor and Kassandra) want more apples. They just stare into our front window and wait for us to notice

I find since I am using it to infuse the milk for this recipe (I have texture issues with actual lavender in the loaf haha) the 2 tablespoons really locks that flavor in!
