there’s a lot that i don’t like about this movie, but one of Fennell’s worst choices was her characterization of Isabella Linton. it left a bad taste in my mouth, and it keeps getting worse the more i think about it

The world is full of individuals, who live within and may or may not harness systems of subjugation. So, we have to do our best to find the outline of that system while understanding that the people within it are too complex for us to avoid getting hurt. I know it’s scary but, respectfully, grow up.
