After that, it was a blur of hostages, weapon trafficking, trickle down, Gulf war, Iran, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan ... Seems we can’t stay out of “conflicts “. But America rationalized it by saying we are protected the planet from the “Evil Empire “or “Axis of Evil “ and…well…Evil in general. OK :/

It only got worse when later, we lost a war and Nixon quit so he wouldn’t get prosecuted . I always wonder, had we been harder on Nixon and less concerned about the “damage to the Office “, politicians would be a little more frightened of their constituents. Fear keeps a person honest
