Charitably, last year’s punt moves reduced their chances in the game at hand in order to increase the odds tomorrow. This killed their odds today AND reduced their odds of winning tomorrow by letting Duran off the hook. Just terrible.

The dodgers are carrying a ton of pitchers and had two of the last three days off, this situation isn’t remotely close to last year. Just ridiculously short-sighted.

We need more regulation and the knowledge to enforce it, but the people making and enforcing the regulations don’t understand the issue nor do they care to

This is correct, but I’m also frustrated with the broad desire to lump these devices in with all e-bikes, including the ones which ARE safe to exist in places that normal bikes can. (Which is why Cooper has scare quotes there, I’m just emphasizing).

I keep seeing "e-bikes" and "e-scooters" that don't require pedaling and that accelerate faster and go faster than car traffic and they are an absolute menace whose existence depends on regulators not giving a shit or not moving fast enough. We gotta do whatever we can to get them off the street.

My unpopular urbanist opinion is that big, hyperfast two-wheelers are a menace and should be banned from bike lanes/paths (with enforcement).

These things endanger everyone riding a bike or legal e-bike. Worse, they deter some from even trying.

This also isn’t a Morrow situation, he has a long career ahead of him after this year. He can’t be the only reliable guy.

There were 89 *more* homers in Dodger home games than in Dodger road games this year. It's one of the highest non-Coors marks in the last half-century.

On how the NLDS shifts to baseball's friendliest homer park -- even if the reputation hasn't caught up.

The NLDS is heading to baseball's best HR park (really!)
Think about what you know about ballparks and which ones are conducive to hitting home runs. Then think about how that might affect the NLDS between the Dodgers and Phillies when it moves to Los Angel...
