The overused Dragon Balls spawn a sinister apparition of Shenlong made of black smoke, which then splits into 7 individual evil dragons. After the fugly mole-looking one easily defeats Vegeta, they collectively decide that this version of reality isn't worth bothering with and... just kinda leave.
Vegeta tirelessly trains his Ultra Ego form, finally succeeding in elevating it to Super Ego, which looks the same but with no visible pupils. He now gains power by being very polite and not screaming at people.

Future Trunks, now with eye-straining bright chartreuse hair somehow, reappears again with a message that the future is under attack by Tullece Black. The rest of the gang is getting pretty sick of this so they just send Vegeta to deal with it on his own. He loses. Should have known better.
