The Rocky Horror Picture Show opened on US screens 50 years ago today. Initially a major box office bomb, cult cinema outsiders and queer audiences quickly took up the film’s mantle and turned it into a unique and exciting way of engaging with the movies. Remember kids, don’t dream it—be it!!

Film #351 - Day 7: Dracula

Browning does a good job of making a moody and Gothic film. Parts are tempered by having seen the Spanish Language version and knowing how they use the material better but Lugosi is still king here. #2025Films

A great beginning of the series. This is Freddy as a guy that wants to just fuck with you before he kills you but how he fucks with you is body horror instead of, "I turn into a worm to eat you alive." Nancy is a fantastic final girl! #31DaysOfHorror
