The stuff I seem to run over does multiple tearing holes instead of pin pricks. This one nail put five holes in the tube.

The tubes that came from the factory had slime in them. When I got a flat earlier in the year it didn't do anything to help. When I tried patching the tube the slime kept leaking out and preventing the patch from working properly. I am sure it helps with minor stuff, but I am anti-slime.

Patch kit, wrenches, and an inflator. I am getting one of the rechargeable ones because dealing with a tiny hand pump sounds like hell.

Although I have enough storage that I’ll just carry a spare tube. Patch it at home.

Wrestle it off. Swap in the backup tube. Reinstall. Realize I mixed up the washers. Fix that. Put running boards, cargo box, and bags back on. Now. I can head back out and go shopping.

Luckily I found this nail on the way to the grocery store and not after I was loaded down. I really need to put together a bike repair kit that can take the rear drive wheel off the cargo bike. It is always the rear wheel that goes flat. Never the easy front one. Had to get walk it home a mile.

The company I have the longest relationship with. Knows I’m married and to whom.

They use all that data they’ve collected on me over twenty five years, see that I’ve entered middle age, and decide “yeah he is probably ready to trade in for a younger model”.

Astoundingly insulting.

One of the reasons I am working towards ditching Google services is that I get daily ads in my Gmail encouraging me to cheat on my wife. Not spam. Ads for all manner of dating sites.
