I think this is basically on the mark. Now that they're getting pushback about it, Stripe's position has changed to "uh, actually it was everyone else who did this."

Maintain pressure. Also maybe call your banks and let 'em know Stripe is blaming them.

I still refuse to believe this statement is true as Stripe has banned NSFW for basically their entire time operating, and this message seems specifically designed to push blame off of them as they're getting hammered with calls.

All the more reason to continue to call and continue to pressure them!
