Funny story: I was crossing the road on my bike in full view of 600ish neighbors when I tried to do the cool leg-over rolling dismount, forgetting the flags zip tied to my rack. Ate spectacular shit.

I built this e-bike in 2020 and doing the 2.5 mile commute to work occasionally and some 20 mile rail trail rides knocked 30lb of desk fat off me in 4 months. 94% of the exercise of a pedal bike.

Within four months of building my DIY, throttle-less ebike and riding the 3 miles to work, plus the odd weekend 20-miler I dropped 30lb, which I've kept off for 4 years.

My old man fact: my self-built, throttle-less, 23mph-flat-out ebike replaces lots of short drives that ruin my car and the atmosphere, and knocked 30lb of desk fat off me.

Have a look at the chain stays behind the bottom bracket and see what kind of room you have to work with. Most stands will attach there. I had to make larger mounting plates to attach mine.
