Graphic Designer turned project manager. I read books, watch women’s basketball, travel when I can, and float on bodies of fresh water in the summer. Hawkeye Country born and bred.
The Compound was a interesting take on human nature. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book because I hated the characters. I found nothing redeeming about the MC. #booksky

Finished Falls From Grace. I throughly enjoyed this one. #booksky

I finished The Expanse Series yesterday. I thought the ending of the 9 novels was an appropriate conclusion. Jim doing something stupid and self sacrificing to save humanity is on point. #booksky I think I’ll rewatch the series again now that I know the whole story.

Miss Diane is such an icon of my movie watching experience. As I remember the characters she played. I am saddened to think she will never be able to give us another totally original and memorable performance. I think I’ll honor her by watching a few of my favorite Keaton originals.

I read Yours for the Taking earlier this year. The Shoutouts is the follow up. I liked the story well enough, but wasn’t blown away. Korn nails the probable outcomes of humans ignoring climate change over personal comfort and capitalism. #booksky

Barefoot in the Park is my favorite Redford movie. Followed closely by The Way We Were. Rest in Peace Robert. Thank you for the great work you did on and off the screen.

I wanted to love this. Cozy Gilmore Girl vibes. I did not. It was full of overused tropes. I found the main characters insufferable. It’s Hallmark if they let the characters have sex. It’s supposed to be a mystery but the only mystery is why I kept reading. #booksky

I finished this over the weekend and am still reeling a bit. When I was finished I just wanted to lay on my bed, blast Rumors by Fleetwood Mac. and stare at the ceiling. I’m fairly sure that was the point of this one. #booksky

Finally got to this gem in from my TBR. It’s so good that I was not ready for it to end. #booksky

Table Rock Lake. It’s always a beautiful view. Occasionally it gives us a special show.

Finished this read today. It’s labeled Gilmore Girls meets Practical Magic. It’s a tear jerker. My only complaint is that it takes too long to get to the real problem and not enough time dealing with the actual problem. #booktok

Book club’s second pick. It started a bit dry for me but once I got into it I enjoyed the story. Great twist I did not see coming. #booksky

New bookclub’s first book pick, Hidden Nature by Nora Roberts. I enjoyed it even I find the Lifetime Movie feel a but tedious. The story placed out exactly as I expected #booksky
