Found this Roy Batty comment on a video of a man spinning a bucket full of paint across a huge canvas.
I feel old.
Mythically old.
I remember when the "Old computers" were new.

Work continues on my first solo game.
I have spent a long time setting up a beautiful development environment which allows me to work like musician: The game is always running and my code changes appear instantly.
Here is me tweaking the bullet / particle system.

Music experiment: "THE CONVERSATION"
1) Listen to internet radio from another country
2) Sample some dialogue that you don't understand
3) Chop it up rhythmically
4) Add some supporting instruments
NOTE: I don't know what these two men are talking about, it sounded benign. Apologies if it's not.

Especially THIS video, explaining how the concept is often nested (lots of micro Kishotenketsu to make one MACRO Kishotenketsu)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tfi0...
I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like a great foundation to build from.

Non-programmers proclaiming AI can replace programmers.
Non-artists proclaiming AI can replace artists.

I was just reading this promo blog from yet-another AI games tech company - this blind assumption that simulation > caricature.
They have the nerve to critique Elden Ring's "static animations", as if clear state isn't vital to action games 🤷♂️

Every day on LinkedIn is a new glimpse into a new circle of hell.
I can see how this technology could be useful to make subtle changes and fix production errors, but using Fritz Lang's Metropolis as an example is just tone-deaf.
What's next - use AI to look behind the curtain in the Wizard Of Oz?

How do you make a Gremlins movie without
- Joe Dante
- Christopher Lee
- Hulk Hogan
I bet they won't even have a Vegetable Gremlin.
This guy is spinning in his neon grave.

Saw Frankenstein. Thought I had the whole place to myself, but it filled up during the trailers 😠
Worth seeing on the big screen. A solid retelling of a timeless story.

Wholesome career ad spotted on Reddit:
“Want a career based on real connection? You sound like a prison officer”
I suppose that’s more aspirational than
“Screw —> You?”
