The trail up to the Harding Ice Fields in Kenai National Park was stunning. The last mile or so was still under snow, and a bit slushy in the heat. I don’t know how you could ever get tired of the amazing views in and around Seward, AK.

I’m not sure if I’m ready to be back in the “real world”. I’m still processing what this last week was. Magical. Hard. Stunning. Wet (feet). Hot. Cold. But of all things, the Brooks Range did not disappoint. More photos to come, but in the meantime, it’s hard to beat this camp spot.

Possibly one of the most “Alaskan” photos I’ve taken here in Alaska.

We have made it to Alaska! It was a rough trip through Canada - our fifth wheel is starting to show her age and we had numerous things to fix on the 3k miles we covered. After we arrived, I had a work trip to NY, and came back with Covid. So it’s been a rough month. Next month will be better!

The anticipated rain yesterday was actually multiple feet of snow. There are some downed trees, and lots of shoveling in progress. But I got out on one last snowshoe of the season just in time for sunrise today.

Todays morning, quiet, snow filled walk. Winter is trying to let us know that it’s still around.

It’s been a bit wet here in the PNW - but that just leaves me dreaming of warm days and amazing sunset adventures!! Like this amazing sunset during a winter camping and climbing trip in Joshua Tree NP.

It was a stunning day for Nordic skiing at Mt. Bachelor, nestled in the breathtaking Cascade Mountains of Oregon. The crisp air was invigorating, the snow was heavy on the trees, and the scenic views were amazing. Great conditions in this winter wonderland!

Someone may have been a touch excited to find a sword/dagger shaped icicle….

We woke up to a fair amount of fresh snow. That, of course, meant that we needed to go make first prints and watch the sunrise along the Deschutes River. Always up for a beautiful #morningwalk.

Utah has some amazing history in its rocks. This painted hillside is in Paria Canyon, carved by the Paria River as a tributary to the Colorado River. Happy #RockinTuesday

A cold couple of weeks have lead the Deschutes River to freeze over. Maybe some fresh snow this week? #morningwalk

Today's hike took me along Fall River. The ice on the plants reminded me of jellyfish, but it was just from the spray! It was beautiful and unlike anything I'd seen before.
