...and alcohol problems. I do not suddenly become racist when I enjoy some wine. Flirty? Yes. Racist? No.

For the record.

My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers.

I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."

I don't know what I think about the fact that every piece of commentary or bit of news is either behind a paywall or requires a membership fee for the latest content. On the one hand, writers should be compensated, full stop. On the other hand, how many substacks will I actually read?

This may explain why there’s an aggressive response to people who merely post Kirk’s own words. It threatens the existence of the alternate Kirk - the motivational speaker that had been marketed to young kids and white Christian groups through selective quotation & clips.

This is the official spokesperson for the White House, stating that the President hopes to deploy the United States military to occupy every city controlled by the political party that opposes him. Explicitly.

Leavitt: "These are the bad guys that we are picking up in Washington DC every day. The president would love to do this in every Democrat-run city across the country."

I do not believe that completing a public history project or portfolio rather than writing a traditional MA thesis is a barrier to entry into a PhD Program. Am I wrong? Please share your experiences.

Dear movie theaters. I would go out to the movies more often if you did not put 30 minutes of commercials and previews before the show. Nobody like that a 7:30 showtime actually means an 8:00 start.

Everything is going to hell without the comfort of a hand basket, but I just bought a ticket to see the Price Sign O’ The Times concert film in IMAX tomorrow evening. I only saw him live once and this will not be the same, but it is still amazing!!

I commute from Alexandria, VA, to Baltimore, MD. In 19 years have dealt with traffic. I have seen accidents. But nothing prepared me for the daily blockade of police and national guardsmen standing in the right lane of a major DC artery, slowing traffic, peering into cars, and pulling people over.

IDK but perhaps I should stop telling co-workers I have been burned out for years. (Too late)

Half a semester's syllabus plus all of the assignment descriptions and due dates is better than no syllabus, right?
