The administration has picked a fight with the Catholic Church, NATO, and Harvard. Hope those folks find popular support, guns, and legal representation,or having to face off against the religious authority of Vance, the military expertise of Hegseth, the legal acumen of Bondi will be rough.

I remember a conservative movement that pretended to be libertarian, not authoritarian, pretended to care about national debt, pretended to hate big government. They have become cruel, cynical bootlickers. Were they just pretending, or did they just not know themselves yet?

Folks who were worried about a loss of history when Lost cause statues were removed, I can only IMAGINE how upset they are at actual history pages from government sites being removed now: Code Talkers, flag raisers from Iwo Jima, Tuskegee Airmen, on and on. They are too upset to even speak up.

Roy Cohn is alive and well and living in the current administration's policies. No surprise when his protégé is president.

The Trump administration is teaching the US that they can get by without trade with our partners and that we don't have to choose the side of freedom and democracy in foreign affairs if it enriches us to do otherwise.
What he is teaching the rest of the world is how to do just fine without the US.

If a truck driver or ball player or fry cook wore a T shirt and ball cap in the Oval Office it might feel like a little diss to the president and I’d be okay with it. When the richest person in the world does it, it feels like a diss to the Nation and I am less okay with it.

Time for the US to acquire some real estate in the Middle East? Sure, I mean what's the worst that could happen? Things always go well when we appropriate land in the region, right?
