The only big signal I see right now is that the economy is not getting up, even with all the Labour efforts. We need the EU more than they need us.

I’m waiting on a politicians with the balls to recognise that.

Your arguments are good and probably based in reality better than my hopes, based in living in a country where part of the population (now a minority), thinks of the UK as special.

At the end of the day, every country has its pride. But EU is about “better together” and that requires a side step.

I hope not.
But for sure it starts with those economy-centric steps now. Prove we understood the economic value of being close to the EU.

I look at Norway or Switzerland, in terms of seamless access to the market.

A waste of (energy, hardware, ...) resources, all to desperately prove that what "we" are doing makes sense?

If what we are calling "AI" had a good application and reason to exist, would we see soo much _stress_ in trying to prove its worth?
