really wish they had a mode tuned to reflect closer to the original adventure path(cranked up for 6 players vs the standard 4 it originally assumed) with just a few changes to work better with the rtwp battles(or had just been built for turned based from the start, but w/e)

most of the stuff i have issues with happened during/before EW, but even black mage(iirc) and one of the completely new classes got hit in DT. it sounds like they are thinking about reversing course on this at least a bit, but we will see. but i liked og MCH so will never be sated probably...

i wanna make a joke about him target me because all my jobs got hit, but its pretty much just every job/role at this point 😭... except BLU which has its own issues as a limited job(that is also the only reason it can be what it is).

Prismatic wall is crazy with a decent combo and the bullshit we did to properly beat the end boss of gray death... Tbf the fighter in the group was less memorable then the wizard and oracle, but she was still crazy powerful compared to me and my eidolon.

Honestly, it wasn't even the caster stuff so much, since my high level smn was a tandem strike melee focus. That said the wizard in the party was way more experienced then me and had the kind of player who is the reasoned they nerfed wizards in 2e and he was still doing crazy stuff.

Having played a level 16+ summoner(sadly one of the few high levels i played) and later a level 1-4 summoner, oh man is it bullshit you don't 'feel more powerful'. idk maybe for fighter its less obvious, but I've never been interested in playing fighters anyways.

Also much like e33, people seem to think the choice is obvious you should let the kid live out a fantasy with a psychotic shade of their dead mom at the expense of others, but the ending is clearly the right choice with all the characters having learned life lessons and become better people.

And you've got a world full of people living out their lives. The big difference is in FFTA those people are from the real world and have been over written so a child can live out his FF isekai fantasy and the people he didn't like(and who knows who else) end up as monsters you kill in the game.

The ending of e33 strangely makes me think of FFTA(spoilers) and what if you could choose the ending in that. There's actually a lot of parallels in each game's stories. Marche is basically Verso but not dead with a sibling who has understandable reasons for not wanting to go back to the real world.

back in the day, as a socially awkward nerd i was shouting in Aht Urhgan for merit parties. i can probably count the number of times i talked to others outside of FC chat in 14 on my fingers. and now thats dead silent too. its barely even a single player game with a built in chat room for me now.

about to start book 4 of SoT and had some wild ideas about how to bring back anchor root... worried it might have been a bit much for her, but maybe Bright Lion Anchor Root is the perfect arch for her(even if a lot of it happens off screen).

the value of shorter rpgs has really grown on me over the years... though not finishing live a live is just funny

i mean... building your own deck is a lot of the fun. of course the problem is all the other bullshit involved with tcgs, where making cards that are just broken enough can make people buy a ton of packs.

its good. does change up a few things from the previous games, and while some of them will be missed, its alright on its own. i actually went though the game on hard mode which was interesting, though the optional stuff late game gets ridiculous.
