I don't think I've ever read an intro that made me want to jump into a book RIGHT NOW so badly.

Yesterday it was nice and sunny so I thought it would be warm enough to sit outside and read for a bit, with a Baileys-spiked coffee for good measure. Big mistake 💀 Froze my ass off and couldn't even focus on reading.

At least the coffee was great though!

Gracias, pero no nos interesa.

This is happening! Or... something is happening, at the very least.

We still have to create sooooo many assets, so this is not going to be a fast process. But still, I'm confident that we're going to make it before the end of the year.

Be excited! Be, be excited! 🤸🏻

Incredibly rare charity shop find, 2,50€ for the Pessoa and 2€ for the Baricco! 😱

Fun fact, I ripped off a full chapter of Oceano Mare for a scene in The Many Sins of House Ocampo 😁 "Good artists copy, great artists steal", right?

Well, the thing is that I'm *decent* (ish) at action games but platforming is the bane of my existence, so no, I'm not having a good time 😭

If you're struggling with Silksong, here is a tip: It is more important to avoid getting hit than it is to hit. Every single enemy attack follows a pattern that can be identified and dodged. Patience is the key. Think of it more as a platformer than an action game and you'll have a much better time

Guess what I've been working on for the last couple of weeks 🎬

Before coding a single line, we always sketch things out the classic way - pen and paper.

It's funny now to recall Dr Samuels' discarded morgue stage, or the balcony that Lady Winterbourne never got.

But in the end, the best ideas are the ones that survive... I hope!

I went to my favourite Berlin museum to spend the afternoon and OMG THEY WERE PLAYING MAYA DEREN'S "MESHES OF THE AFTERNOON". I'd never watched it on a large screen before! I can't believe I got this lucky 🖤

(to clarify, I don't mean this particular "incident", the drama of which I have no desire to know anything about. I'm talking about their more general way of handling technical/financial issues)

Yeah, unfortunately have to agree. "Limited resources" doesn't excuse lack of professionalism, and if you decide you want to handle people's finances, taxes and earnings, you need to have a more professional support / mod team than a bunch of snarky 20-somethings.

lol, the main reason I come here is that it's one of the few places where there *aren't* any teenagers 🤣 (only the cool goth ones from time to time)

32°C today, 35°C tomorrow. No place better to be right now than here 🪦 Cheers!

- Had a croissant + espresso for breakfast
- Bought an amazing baguette
- Watched Godard's "Pierrot le fou"
- Worked on our game for 3 hours
- Read Thomas Bernhard's "Wittgenstein's Nephew" while listening to Oscar Peterson

What a day! And I still have time for a horror movie!

Begun 1983. Published 1992. Out again today.
Cover of a book. Background: a strange, rather menacing blue background, like the product of an abandoned printing process. Against that a self-reflexive pattern of trees and ruins and water makes the shape of a skull. It's looking at you. It's looking at me. It's looking at everyone.

This scene belongs to our upcoming game The Many Sins of House Ocampo.

Steam page coming (hopefully) later this year!

The "problem" with our pixel art is that it's too dark and too detailed, so it's easy to scroll by if you're on your phone and looking for big, eye-catching, colourful shapes.

But stop for a second and zoom in, and you'll gasp at the insane amount of work Thomas has put in here.

Nice reviews always make us feel warm and fuzzy inside, but nothing can compare to the feeling when someone just GETS it.

It's hard to believe that 4 years later, our little game is still touching people's hearts...

(and reviews like these still touch ours 🥹)
