Being stupid is a real disadvantage. AI + modafinil can fix it but you still need to be intellectually curious. And to the best of my knowledge, there is no fix for curiosity.

you can keep reading fiction till the rest of your life and learn nothing out of it (Gwern in his podcast). That's similar to the parable of the bell: you can ring the bell and like the sound of it, and enjoy it every time you ring the bell, but that's not what the bell is for.
