For sure the league is good.. but I think what is also a factor, is the fear of relegation. So any team can be in that zone.. Manu a few short seasons ago.. and so the setup is often to defend vs to play and attack.

We needed this game.. perfect time for a game like this where we can express ourselves.. not been easy or a walk over, but Leeds came out to play.

For these reasons why the boss is saying that he hopes they get to expand the bench next season. Hopefully Saka is nothing major..

Agree with you CW.. in addition to that G14 lack of finishing is also apparent in this game. He should have at the very least 2. Pretty sure he will extend his goal tally if the boss doesn’t take him off.. do what Wenger use to do and have him play through it.

Agreed. Felt like we were playing with our food. The sad thing is that the finishing or lack there of is not deliberate. G14 should have had a hatrick … the square from MLS alone should have been his second.

Hi JB. I like that you said that we are our own worst enemy (more or less) in your post after the game. While I agree, we also have to acknowledge that we came up against a good team on their day and that day was yesterday. But it’s not the end of the world.. 15 games to go. COYG

love and appreciate your analysis. After the villa result today, it feels like destiny is winning the league this season. this is the EPL and some talking heads will go on programs and make it look as if certain teams are a walk over. There when they get a point from us, it’s all doom and gloom.

So far we have learnt two things.. left side is Timber’s kryptonite and Estevao is a nice player .. one to watch for the future..

Agreed.. Timber doesn’t look like he has gotten his bearings fixed to that side yet. I am sure in the second he will look more like the timber we all love..victor looks like he has a point to prove. Wouldn’t be surprised if he scores.

James, I agree with your assessment of the game and our last few matches. I think the key going forward will be managing substitutions, who and what times we make them. We can’t be living on the edge like we have. Big Gabbie is back, thankfully. Hoping that more of our defenders will follow soon.

Even game, maybe we were marginally the better team. Rays was not much tested, the defence except for the goal was solid. We had good finishers on the bench and Arteta used them well. Kudos to the boss..

No complaints. Nothing less than I draw would have been the least we should have gotten.. the game, much like the Liverpool game was good tactically and I would even say we were better.. if only marginally.
