Just finished Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward @jesmimi.bsky.social . My God. What a visceral experience. She pulls the heart right out of you and fills the cavity with her people's own. In the age of dark MAGA this should be required reading as what was is coming again. Incredible writer.

A mizzly afternoon, I decided to read Maus. But bottled. Too real. Instead I discovered the brilliant Something is Killing the Children, an outstanding graphic series by @jamesthefourth.bsky.social . Great horror escapism to distract from the real monsters.
