i want ppl to stop treating Black talent’s needs as a side thought. got asked by a yt woman if this yt mua knew how to do Black hair. get a hair stylist that specializes in Black hair PERIODT. this bothers me to my core & only happens to us. stop that shit.

proud of myself for addressing a colleague that took on a disrespectful tone in email two months ago AND wanted to gloss over it with a “quick question” as if it never happ. FOH. it’s been uncomfy speaking up for myself as of late BUT when i do, i know that i honor myself and my voice.

been looking for a new therapist as i'm navigating different things in this season of my life and i think i found the one. i felt so connected to her, especially in the ways she was asking questions to make sure she was in alignment with me as well. there was a gentleness in her inquiries.
