Idk about the storytelling being better DD has some bare bones when it comes to actual lore. I was definitely more attracted to the amazing gameplay loop and world building which yeah i would say is better then elden ring.

I think the biggest reason it gets away with the more ridiculous aspects of the genre is that it's so sincere and genuine in all aspects.
