It was moving and impactful to watch the documentary THE LIBRARIANS, which is about freedom to read and the fight against banned books, in a roomful of librarians and writers.

Just bought three more audiobooks through @libro.fm because I made the mistake 😂 of browsing their Indie Bookshop Appreciation Sale and could not resist. Have already read/loved PRACTICAL MAGIC by Alice Hoffman & PACHINKO by Min Jin Lee. Have not yet read THE BOOK OF DOORS by Gareth Brown.

Thanks for the recommendation of PERDIDO STREET STATION by China Miéville. Just listened to an audio sample. Love the narrator's voice, and the plot summary is intriguing. Have added this to my wishlist. Thanks again!

One of my favourite audiobooks: THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett, which I found out about via @lisayee.bsky.social. Fantastic narrators, including Octavia Spencer. This audiobook helped convince me that I could enjoy audiobooks as much as print or ebooks.

Official biopsy report just came through: tiny tumor is benign, HURRAY. Doctor told me it was unlikely to be malignant, but wanted to do a test to make sure. Huge thanks to the staff at @sunnybrookhsc.bsky.social.

What I'm hoping for in TogetherCraft: a place with a community where I have the option of exploring, chatting with others who want to chat BUT where I can mostly just pop in and do mining/building on my own, without having to constantly chat.

An educator pal was kind enough to invite me to his edu Minecraft server. I found that the kids were so excited to see me that they always wanted to chat & also to "help" me in whatever I was doing. Of course I let them & I chatted, but it wasn't the Minecraft server experience I was looking for. 😁

I'm glad you found a Minecraft server with art pals, Kim! That's exactly the kind of server I was looking for. I've tried several public servers over the decades but either they were way too busy or I ended up being griefed.
